Swinging in to Fall...

I LOVE the change in weather! With everything cooling down we have been able to spend more and more time outside! Emma loves it! From playing in the backyard to swinging, she is having so much fun, and so am I. About a week or two ago it was cool enough to go to the park and Emma tried swinging for the first time. She was so happy in that little swing she could not stop smiling. Yesterday she got together with her cousin and shared a swing, you'll see how cute it was....

The zoo! Wahoo!

Emma and her cousins went to the zoo a few weeks back to check out the animals and say hi to a zebra or two. It was a fun trip over all, but it was still BLASTED HOT! We saw giraffes, zebras, the big tree house, and then we watched her cousins on the carousel before getting back in to our nice air conditioned cars! Alright! Now that the weather is cooling down we will have to make a trip back to let her take a peek at more of her fuzzy friends.

Just throwing it out there....

Okay, so I have come to the decision that I would like to do something to earn a little extra money to help out with things around here. My mom has been trying to hand off her business...selling pampered chef. If I did do this I would need to do some catalogue shows (not really interested in going and showing my wares-people know what it is, right?). I really love the stuff and would like to sell, I just don't know if anyone would be interested in holding a catalogue show or buying anything. I wouldn't want to try and get started with this and fall flat on my face. So, just throwing it out there....is anyone interested?
Or...
Does anyone know a way to earn a little extra money from home?

Am I biased or is she cute?

I couldn't help putting a few of these pictures on here. Sleeping shots are always so cute I just had to put a few on here. While the house was torn up getting remodeled Emma would take her naps in my bedroom. I had to find ways to calm her down and get her to go to sleep so I would give her "Katie-bear" to play with, and this is what happened.

And then sometimes she just passes out like her mom....

This is my little miss mischief. I turned around to get some stuff out of the fridge, and when I turned back she had crawled in the cabinet, so I had to grab the camera.

Grandma Tate's Birthday

Okay so I'm falling a little behind in the posting area, but that just means life is busy, and that is a good thing for me.
A few weeks ago we celebrated JD's mom's birthday. The Texas Tates were here so there were kids for Emma to watch and play with. We went bowling and had dessert at our house (newly remodeled I might add). It was so much fun, just don't ask me my bowling score. Not because it was bad, just because I don't remember it. No, but really, it was terrible. Emma was loving watching Jeffery and Jack run around. Jeffery was very possessive of his bowling ball and told both JD and me that we were not allowed to use it. Cute kid, he's so funny.

We have also been having some fun by the pool. Emma loves to be in the water and splash around. JD and I were swimming with her and it was just too cute to pass up so we had to grab the camera.

Caught in the act- GROSS!

She does this all day long, so I just had to wait with my camera while I was working on laundry to catch these shots. In the first one she was bobbing for a piece of food that got dropped in the water.

Emma-You're so silly

Oh my goodness! Life is getting a little crazier around here. Emma is a crawling maniac! She goes where she wants, when she wants, and does whatever she wants. She's got sass (just like her mom if you ask JD). She loves to go exploring in our house. Just the other day she discovered her first FORT! She crawled under her exer-saucer by herself and just hung out there while we cleaned the kitchen and worked on making food. She has also made a few more discoveries- the doggy door, the dog food, and the dirt in our potted plant. I have yet to capture a picture because my first thought is the stop the dog food or from entering her opened mouth and prevent my munchkin from discovering the door isn't the only think that leads to the outdoors.
We have also had a few additions to our family. My sister had a baby girl named Brooklyn (not sure how she is spelling it) and my sister-in-law had a baby boy named Calvin shortly after. I have pictures of Calvin, but I have had limited time with Brooklyn so maybe some other time. They are both so cute and I am excited Emma has so many little people to play with!
