For Thanksgiving all of my side of the family met down in Thatcher to hang out and eat some yummy food. It was so nice to be all there together. I miss having all of my siblings close. The nieces (yes there are finally two girls) and nephews all had fun playing together and getting to know each other again. We were able to shoot off rockets and just hang out and have a good time. Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting us!
Oh my baby is already one! She is getting sooooooo big! We had a birthday party for her on November 1st at a park by our house and the family showed up to help celebrate. I kind of did a panda theme with her invites and cupcakes....an experiment, but I had fun... Some of them did not travel very well and their heads fell off. Emma was dressed in all pink and had so much fun playing and eating her cupcakes and pizza. I love this little girl so much! Happy Birthday Emma!
Okay. Here I go making up for lost time. get ready for a bunch of posts. Emma's Halloween was bitter sweet. At the trunk or treat she got her first taste of a lollipop and she loved it! She would not give it up and made it all the way to the tootsie roll center of the tootsie pop!
When Halloween rolled around she had an infection in her throat that moved to the area of gums where one of her teeth was coming in. Needless to say her mouth was sore and she was not a happy girl! I did get a few pictures of us handing out candy though.
Last week our family headed down to Thatcher to go on our annual pumpkin picking extravaganza! This year was Emma's first time going and she had a lot of fun with her cousins and grandparents. The first night we were there we had the kids get into their Halloween costumes for a picture, so here is a little preview of what I will be posting after Halloween... The next day we headed down to Apple Annie's Orchard and found the perfect pumpkin....and the perfect poser.. Emma had a blast with all of the pumpkins and little gourds. She is in to hugging everything so we found a little pumpkin just her size that she could hug and chew on. Shout out to mom and dad, thanks for all the fun!
I LOVE the change in weather! With everything cooling down we have been able to spend more and more time outside! Emma loves it! From playing in the backyard to swinging, she is having so much fun, and so am I. About a week or two ago it was cool enough to go to the park and Emma tried swinging for the first time. She was so happy in that little swing she could not stop smiling. Yesterday she got together with her cousin and shared a swing, you'll see how cute it was....
Emma and her cousins went to the zoo a few weeks back to check out the animals and say hi to a zebra or two. It was a fun trip over all, but it was still BLASTED HOT! We saw giraffes, zebras, the big tree house, and then we watched her cousins on the carousel before getting back in to our nice air conditioned cars! Alright! Now that the weather is cooling down we will have to make a trip back to let her take a peek at more of her fuzzy friends.
Okay, so I have come to the decision that I would like to do something to earn a little extra money to help out with things around here. My mom has been trying to hand off her business...selling pampered chef. If I did do this I would need to do some catalogue shows (not really interested in going and showing my wares-people know what it is, right?). I really love the stuff and would like to sell, I just don't know if anyone would be interested in holding a catalogue show or buying anything. I wouldn't want to try and get started with this and fall flat on my face. So, just throwing it out there....is anyone interested? Or... Does anyone know a way to earn a little extra money from home?
